Why Camping is a Great Holiday For Kids

By Kikini Hen

Having a great holiday with the kids means you first have to decide what you will do. Traditional holidays can become very expensive for the whole family, especially in the height of the summer season when prices are at their highest.

Many people are put of becasue they think they won't be able to shower or stay clean, but you'd be pleasantly surprised at the great facilities many campsites offer. There are also a huge amount of different campsites around, so the chances are there is at least one near your favorite destination.

Once you have yourself set up with a tent and all the other camping equipment you require, your holiday will definitely be quite cheap. Most campsites charge a small fee per tent, per night and then all you have to worry about is taking enough food and spending some money of days out and other fun activities that you might want to get involved with. Most campsites are in areas of natural beauty so there is always the cheaper options of going out walking for the day, or maybe even going for a long bike ride. Whatever way you look at it, camping will certainly be a lot cheaper than a standard holiday break.

Fun is always close by on a family camping holiday. Most campsites are designed to entertain the whole family, and popular camping destinations are usually in tourist hotpots where you're never too far from a fun day out and a large choice of activities. Having fun on the campsite itself is easy as there are usually lots of families and kids looking for fun. In fact, camping is one of the most social holidays you could find! If you're going camping this summer, make sure you pack a few games like soccer balls and baseball games to keep everyone having as much fun as possible!

We'd highly recommend going camping if you have the choice. If you don't think you can hack a full weekend in a tent, why not go for a weekend break? Give it a go, we bet you'll love it!
